Temperature shock testing evaluates the resistance of components, devices, and other products to rapid changes in ambient temperature. Test specimens are exposed to rapid temperature changes in air with alternating upper and lower temperature loads. These cyclical loads and accelerated aging caused by temperature variation can reveal weak points in the test item.
